Registration Fee

Our registration fee of $94.52 is due upon acceptance of enrollment and is non refundable.

Vacation and Sick Days

Our Canadawide early learning and childhood agreement (4.6 Accountability and safeguards) prevents us from offering any further discounts for vacation as “Ontario now has control over our fees” that we must follow. Full fees must be maintained to keep the child’s space active.

Invoicing

At our childcare facility, we require that all childcare fees be prepaid for the following month. This means that parents or guardians must pay for their child’s care in advance, before the month begins. To ensure that parents are aware of their upcoming payment, we send out invoice notifications via email three days prior to the payment due date.

To make the payment process as convenient as possible, we use the Kindertales parent portal. This online platform allows parents to easily make payments from the comfort of their own home. Payments are automatically withdrawn on the first of each month.

By requiring prepaid childcare and utilizing an online payment system, we aim to provide a streamlined and efficient experience for both parents and staff. We understand that childcare can be a significant expense for families, and we strive to make the payment process as easy and stress-free as possible.

Payment options

Upon enrolling your child in our daycare program, you will receive an email invitation to join our Kindertales application. This application can be accessed through the Kindertales web portal at https://app.kindertales.com or by downloading the Kindertales parent app from the Apple or Android app stores. All options will use the same login credentials that you set up during enrollment. The web portal is not available through a mobile browser and can only be accessed through a desktop or laptop.

It is important to note that the web portal is currently the only option for immediately adding your banking information to set up direct payments. If you need assistance with this process, step-by-step instructions can be found online at https://kindertales.school/knowledgebase/adding-and-verifying-your-bank-account-us/

Kindertales uses Stripe for payment processing, and a 2.9% credit card processing fee will be automatically applied to all credit card transactions. Any changes to fees will be communicated to parents in writing.

Our daycare centers accept both subsidized and non-subsidized children. If your child receives daycare subsidy, it is your responsibility to contact your caseworker if you have any concerns about the daily fee that you have been given. It is important to note that subsidized daily fees are determined by your caseworker, not the daycare center.

In the event that a payment is returned from the bank as NSF (non-sufficient funds), a $50.00 charge will be applied. If this issue persists for more than three months, a $100.00 fee will be charged for each subsequent return.

Late Pick Up

It is important to note that if you are unable to pick up your child from the centre by 5:30pm, a late fee will be charged. This fee is $1.00 per minute for every minute after 5:30pm. For instance, if your child is picked up at 5:43pm, you will be charged a late fee of $13.00. It is important to understand that this fee is necessary to compensate the teachers who have to stay behind to care for your child.

To avoid any inconvenience, we kindly request that payments for late fees are made no later than the next day. It is important to note that all payments must be made in cash. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring that our teachers are compensated for their extra time and effort.
